Cardiff - the first of many visits to Riona

Riona has just moved to Cardiff to start doctoring so it is inevitable that I'll be up visiting her every so often.  My Mother was always delighted when I moved cities "ooh," she'd exclaim, "somewhere new to explore!" and, here I am, living my Mother's life and exploring a new city that my daughter has moved to.

Aside from the moving all her stuff up side of things, including unloading the car and lugging them up two flights of stairs whilst she was still working, it was a lovely couple of days!

Riona didn't finish work until 2100 on the Sunday so the first thing she unpacked, at 2145, was a half eaten tin of baked beans that she'd carefully transported from her hospital accommodation fridge to flat!   She has priorities that woman.

On Monday, after unpacking and assembling furniture in the morning, we popped up to Castle Coch in the afternoon and strolled around their sculpture pack.

I'm a sucker for outdoor sculpture.

It was really creative!

With awesome views too.

I'll be back ;-)
